There are so many opinions in the world today based on people's interpretations of the Bible. Many Christian leaders convince others to become part of an organization or a movement rather than being a disciple of Jesus. In the midst of this confusion, the teachings of Jesus are overlooked and forgotten.

Be a Disciple, Make a Disciple: Following Jesus's Example is 100 percent about Jesus Christ: who He is, what He taught about being His disciple, and what He and His early apostles showed by their example of how to mentor and guide others to be disciples of Jesus.

Your journey to true fellowship and discipleship starts now

Many Christians go through discipleship programs so that they can grow closer to Jesus and share Him with others. Others meet one-on-one for discipleship with mentors or small group leaders. Yet sometimes, we do not always know why discipleship is necessary for our walk with Christ.

Why is discipleship necessary?

Discipleship is necessary because people need to know Jesus personally. Jesus commanded His disciples to make disciples of all nations so that others could know Him.

Discipleship is also necessary for you to be grown into maturity and transformed more into the person He has created you to be.

Discipleship is also necessary for people to get sound doctrine, love God and others, raise leaders, and create disciple-making movements all over the world.

I was honored to receive an advance read copy in exchange for an honest review. Knowing the quality of the author's previous publications, I was very enthusiastic about reading this book. I can certainly report that I was not disappointed. This book offers Christian believers a very comprehensive toolbox to go out there and fulfill the duty of the Great Commission of "going around the world to make disciples.” The book in itself is a disciple-making instrument. Even a nonbeliever can read it and immediately find the path to salvation. The message is communicated simply and clearly through the fourteen lessons of the book. I truly believe that after reading this book, we all can become more teachable as we prepare ourselves to be available for the Holy Spirit to become real disciples and subsequently take the next step of engaging in the noble mission of disciple-making.

I received an advance read copy in exchange for an honest review. Be a Disciple Make a Disciple: Following Jesus’s Example is a very insightful book that will help you be a better Christian. It is reader friendly and very simple to understand compared to other books out there that waste your time at the beginning and the middle just to tell you something at the end.

I had the undeserved privilege to receive an advance read copy in exchange for an honest review. Overall, I really liked the book. It was easy and enjoyable to read. I like that it was backed up with biblical references throughout! There were no problem areas to me. The topic of discipleship was definitely an important reminder for me as a believer. I loved that the author asked self-reflective questions throughout the book to help the reader evaluate their spiritual status as they read. This book has definitely helped to rekindle my love for the Lord and ministry. This book would have been a great help for me when I became a new Christian and even as an adult in ministry now. I will absolutely use it as a next step guide especially when ministering to young kids, teens, and young adults.

As a pastor and teacher of the Word of God, I have read many books on being a disciple of Christ and making disciples for Christ. Be a Disciple Make a Disciple: Following Jesus’s Example is the most practical book I’ve read and the easiest to apply to one’s everyday life. Frantz Lamour’s approach is free from denominational bias, which is obvious in other books on discipleship. Finding unbiased material is a challenging task, being that so many authors seek to be a “denomination champion” instead of rightly handling the Word of Truth. This book is biblically based and is a great resource for sermon prep, small groups, Sunday School, the classroom, and personal use. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this material, and it has renewed a passion for truth within me. I also found this book to be an extremely empowering experience that has given me the confidence needed to fulfill the Great Commission. I feel honored to receive an advance read copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Let me start by honestly thanking the author for allowing me to be a beta reader for his new book. I am truly honored and blessed to be a part of this. Going into this book I had no idea what to expect, but I must say that this might be one of the most important books I’ve ever read. Pastor Lamour pretty much takes you on a step-by-step journey on how to be a disciple of Jesus Christ and then how to make others into disciples as well. Each chapter is represented by a lesson that contains multiple smaller subjects that are correlated to that particular lesson. The beautiful thing about the way this book is structured is that it represents exactly what Jesus Christ did when He came to this earth. Jesus Christ came to teach, and every moment in His life was a lesson for us. If Discipleship 101 ever became a course, I firmly believe that this book should be the main textbook for that class. Everything is laid out to take a group of students (or disciples) through a 14-week course to be equipped with the tools to not only follow God, but also bring others to God as well.
